Nitinol, a unique metal alloy primarily composed of nickel (Ni) and titanium (Ti), is renowned for its exceptional properties, including the remarkable abilities of shape memory and superelasticity. Superelasticity, one of its hallmark features, enables Nitinol, including Nitinol tubes, to spontaneously revert to its original shape after significant deformation within a specific temperature range, typically just above its transformation temperature (Tg), without the need for external heating. This property renders Nitinol highly versatile for a range of applications.
Our offering exclusively includes Nitinol tubes characterized by their Superelastic Effect, which is defined as a reversible response to temperature changes arising from a phase transformation between the austenitic and martensitic crystal phases.
The composition of the Nitinol tubes we manufacture complies with the requirements of ASTM F2063 standards.

The Active Austenite Finish Temperature (active Af) of the completed tube, having an outer diameter within the 0.25 to 7.0 mm (0.01 to 0.275 in.) range, should be determined through the bend and free recovery technique outlined in Test Method ASTM F 2082-15, applied to representative full-round tube sample(s).
The mechanical properties of the nickel-titanium (Nitinol) tube are tested in accordance with ASTM F2516-18 standard at a temperature range of 20°C to 24°C.
